During the late 1920s and early 1930s at the height of Isleton's Japantown the brick building on the right used to be a Japanese hotel and also housed a grocery store and a pool hall. The structure on the left was formerly a grocery store that sold boots and shoes. More recently the space houses the Summer Wind Strained Glass shop for the past twenty years that offers consignments for stained glassware as well as workshops.
